Dr. Slaughter's pursuit of excellence led him to Duke University Medical Center, where he spent two years mastering General and Vascular Surgery, and then to The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

Driven by a passion for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck, Dr. Slaughter undertook a prestigious 1-year fellowship with Dr. Edwin Williams, past president of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He further specialized in Hair Restoration Surgery under Dr. Michael Beehner, a renowned figure in the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
